Trip to Alcudia Market and Port

On the first Tuesday of our holiday to Majorca we got the bus to Alcudia which is just around the other side of the bay. The bus station was just down the road from our hotel, and it took about 20 minutes to get there.

We first got dropped off at the Alcudia old town because on Tuesdays they have a market, and Amanda was keen to have a look around.

The market was quite good. Everything from fruit and veg, to leather goods and fake pearls were on sale. The market literally filled the inside of the old town walls. Whilst Amanda was looking mainly at the stales, I was busily snapping away with the camera.

There were also a lot of street artists, working on and selling their creations. The picture below shows a guy doing calligraphy using only a scrap of metal. I thought they looked quite good.

Once we had finished at the old town we got back on a bus and drove down to the Port of Alcudia. We spent a while looking around and walking along the beach and then went for lunch where we got some sea food paellas.
Once we had seen all we wanted to see at Alcudia we got back on the bus and went back to our hotel where we had a bottle of wine on the balcony and then got ready for dinner.
